........... IDC about your opinions but racism in general is like riding horses for transportation, its a dead thing that has no place in this day and age. .......................
I resent you attempting the analogy to horses here. there exists no inherently amoral connection between the two subjects.
Lol. but seriously.

my question would be , if it is dead(racism) ,why are people making excuses for him?

they can, and will, strip him of all of all ownership rights...this is a publicly funded FRANCHISE.. not a singley owned company ..he has to abide by NBA rules to remain viable...he may tie up monitary ownership in court ,but he is done:) the NBA can and will come in ,take over management and wait for him to die:headbang2

:WTF:Did you not understand me the first time...here is what I said...read very, very slowly "He's going to give it to his wife or daughter (whose husband basically runs the day to day operations) and end of story. He no longer owns it (legally) but technically never gets striped of it because it remains in his family."

Where in that statement did I say he will still own the team. BTW, he gets to choose who he sells the team to as well. His family has not been banned.

good luck to him ,any sale needs to be approved by the league, hope it works out for the "poor" unfortunate soul

Wow i actually agree with lee on a sports topic. Is this real life?

On a serious note, isnt it as simple as voting, go through whatever court procedures he wants to drag it on and then sell the team to the highest bidder and send sterling a check?

Why are we under the impression that he'll be involved in the process to sale the team?

the sale will be directed by the league , they own the rights to the franchise ,not sterling ...for all his b.s. and bluster he is POWERLESS to contend NBA by -laws, league rules precede his "rights"...and the NBA isn't going to allow him or his family to run the show ...no matter what our esteemed" inside" guy here at MFK deems

Umm, who said racism is dead. If you read the entire thread, you will see that every single person who has posted agrees that Donald Sterling is a racist and a bigot. That is clear as day. And I repeat to the point of ad nauseum, that the fact that he is a racist and bigot is NOT something new. No one is defending what he said (I certainly am not), nor making excuses. I am simply offering my predictions on how this man will deal with the sanctions placed on him by the NBA. How is that making excuses? But you are right about one thing, they may in fact just have to wait for him to die before he gives up that team.

His wife owns half the team. She is not part of the ban. If he removes himself then she remains the owner. She is not part of the ban. You don't have to be on the "inside" of anything to see that. Apparently Lee is the "inside guy" since he knows exactly how this is going to pan out. You talking to Comm. Silver? Tell us what you know...what's the word in Phoenix?
