you mean for us to drink right :)? I have a brita filter, I'm glad I do to since one time I was in the middle of a water change and as I was culling a bucket up the water turned dark brown so I took the last 5 gallons I needed out of my brita filter and put it on top of the furnace for an hour so it'd heat up.

Well yeah but I meant the type that gets hooked up to the plumbing on the water lines coming into the house

Oh, then no. Where I live the water is pristine with no chlorine or other harmful chemicals.

Water softner? We got one cause our water was over PH 8 and the calcium was through the roof.

I have well water, so we have: sediment filter, radon bubbler, and water softener. I also installed a reverse osmosis system at the kitchen sink for drinking/cooking water.

What does the reverse osmosis system do for the drinking water

If filtered properly it's pure H2o but it wastes alot of water filtering.

Same thing it does for aquarium water. It removes almost all traces of additives and minerals but if it works the same as aquarium systems it creates a lot of waste water.
