Aquarium fish KILLING owners?

Just remembered this great story. One of the local big box pet stores aquarium managers told me a full grown molly jumped out of a tank and landed directly in her mouth and went right down her throat... If it was a big fish she could have choked to death lol or a puffer, if it puffed while going down your throat you'd be screwed!

I bet he was drunk when that happened (Dundee), the man was an experienced legend, but decided it was a good idea to pick the ray up by the wings?!?! Something wasn't right there.

I heard this story about guy keeping an alligator gar (mate of a mate) He had worked at the Sydney Public Aquarium. He had the gar (Garfield) for years and years, (maybe 8 years) he loved a scratch on his nose. He was rather large by that time. About 5 - 6 feet long. And jaws to match. Anyway he invites a girl from his uni over(Sydney Uni) who he was trying to impress, and he has gone to give the gar his head scratch this one day, he of course was showing off a little bit. And put his face in the water as well............................

Head in water, 5 foot gar.

Well he got bit in the face. He didn't die, but his face was so badly lacerated, that he needed 352 stitches in his face. Essentially his face needed to be reconstructed. He was treated at Royal North Shore Hospital. Another friend who is a nurse there corroborated this story.

>None of the institutions or agencies that appear in the story are affiliated with it in any way, nor have approved its contents. Though certain events and characters in this story have been dramatized, sightings of 'gator gar in home aquariums continue to this day. Alligator Gar is a real fish. Legends of giant Gars in home aquariums persist all over the world. There is still debate about how dangerous they might be.<
