Cooper should be ashamed of himself if he's whoring for ratings with these on and on interviews.

my respect for him dropped several notches on this one.
although he only interviewed sterling once for nearly 1 1/2 hour, then stretched the airing over more than one night.
He did magic's after sterling so magic could respond. Magic said he is already tired of talking about it, and all this is really accomplishing is to detract from the playoffs.

...Who watched Roger Mason Jr. have to retract his assertions that Lebron James would lead a boycott of NBA players if Donald Sterling was still owner of the Clippers at the beginning of next season. Kinda sounds like Lebron didn't like words being put in his mouth...I'm assuming it's because as a result of his alleged threat to take the league hostage it appears he got some heat from fans and people in general (and maybe his agent $$$)...and was quick to put the kabash to Roger Mason Jr.'s mischaracterizations.

that's what "they" do. although Cooper often finds himself (to his credit, imo)doing worthwhile stories ...but expecting any of the "big 3" news outlets NOT to whore themselves out will send you running to PBS , eventually , where you can find real news:popcorn:...at least that's where I ended up. BBC is another viable option, imo. btw , I haven't watched ANY of the media dealings with this case in about 8-10 days , I can't think of anything LESS revealing than an interview with an 80 yr old goon... I used to HAVE to deal with his kind of social foolishness at work EVERY DAY for 2 decades ...his kind are a strange mixture of boring &creepy rolled into 1 ugly package

LEBRON... imo...doesn't want to risk the advertising $$$$'s(being seen as not 100% race NEUTRAL) , but it certainly wouldn't surprise me to find out down the road that he was very quietly spearheading the movement ....back in '68 the athletes who protested in the olympics for civil rights were unjustly demonized , and there is still a 10% factor that would love to do the same to LEBRON , given the chance, imo he is just avoiding that land mine...MICHAEL (NO CAUSE GREATER THAN "ME") JORDAN ... made an entire career out of being 100%politically and racially neutral to avoid any such problems , and CHUCK BARKLEY will gleefully point that out whenever the subject comes up... and he is buddies with MJ:popcorn:

Am I the only one who thinks race neutral = sellout??

And pardon me for saying so, but Magic saying this talk is only distracting from the playoffs is about the dumbest stuff I've ever heard.

not really, if seeing the comment "in context" of the interview & everything he was saying at the time.
that's the problem with quoting people, you can't interpret one sentence correctly on it's own.

not at all, my reaction is one of observation over time , not of my philosophy of "what should be"...we get a full dose of that thinking on here all the time
