well fh's are hybrids so they dont know that there talking about. I like her but she isnt the best quality, I would rate her 3-4 on a scale of ten. But if you do breed her your males genes should come through in small portion of the fry so its not a waste to say.

She looks like she has some carpintis in her yes looks like some vieja too but I wouldn't say kamfa I would say it falls under the same category as red texas and other faders and thats wuhua it isn't used very often to describe flowerhorn and I would say your friends aren't into flowerhorns if they don't see her as a really good breeder one thing its a female they take a little bit longer to show all of their color than males wish you luck on your project

Like A Fortune fish type of kamfa FH. The hard headed kind.

fotoshop and give her a huge head and everybody gonna say FH. She's a female and she's a baby.. We should not expect too much from a female and a baby.

But she's already nice. I would say she is rare also

Since all flowerhorns are hybrids, are all hybrid cichlids now flowerhorns? There are so many colors and sizes and shapes now. Not like when I started to collect them. A lot of them are beautiful and some not so much and a lot of them even seem to "blossom" over a period of just a few weeks from an ugly duckling. I have a beautiful Gold Pearl faded flowerhorn that was a dull yellowish tan, spotted mutt only months ago. I got him for free after he polished off his tank mates. Eight of them! I don't think that the classification is even a science anymore and the lines between the "types" are blurry. The babies could have traits of the male or the female or some recessive traits from the generation before. In general, though, quality parents will produce some quality off spring.

In a since you can say that all hybrids are flowerhorns but all flowerhorns share two common genus and thats amphilophus and vieja from zhen zhou flowerhorn to red texas
