who appointed you boss man? give borg credit , he knows a valid point when he sees one.. even if he doesn't agree...most of my posts are pretty much tongue in cheek on this thread but the idea that this doctor (in a plastic bubble) is gonna spread a disease is sheer folly...the only way ebola is going to get into the country is by unidentified , un-diagnosed carriers...you have to really think the cdc is incapable of tending their business , and that would be in direct conflict with the history of the institution..CMON ..somebody show me where they have ever CAUSED an outbreak...it HASN'T happened ,EVER...but that's the beauty of being a conspiracy theory guy..you don't want or need evidence to know that something bad is in the works ..just a hatred or fear of people or events

I've been unofficial lounge cop for 2 years now. Snitching on you guys on the DL

speaking of, would you stop repeating yourself? I'm kinda tired of reading you post the same thing while blowing off any questions directed toward yourself. Theyre just giving you a taste of your own medicine

it's true, I hand picked and appointed Mr. Ballin myself

The authors state twice in the article that they cannot tell if it was aerosolized, airborne, or if the pigs were coughing and spitting! The monkeys' cages were placed 8 inches away from the pigs - I think a lot of us on here have fish longer than that! Also, the monkeys stayed there 24/7, 8 inches away from coughing animals (which the article also points out are bigger shedding and aerosol producers than any other mammal), for a week before falling ill. Air samplers situated 2 feet away from the pigs ran for 30 minutes, and recovered no virus particles. Yes, it is non-direct transmission, but you cannot conclude that it is airborne, either.
Perhaps, it's just another case of "monkey see, monkey do..."

now , i see you have been appointed head spokesmodel too...lol...it would be a good fit in this particular thread..don't forget to scold me about something completely irrelevant to the thread in your next post, I wouldn't know what to think if you forget to....actually I think I might take a cue from POPS....:popcorn:

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh you people.

NO. NO NO NO NO. It is NOT ready to mutate. That is NOT a rational conclusion that can be made from the indirect transmission article. HOW is that idea popping into your head?!?!

Also YES there is security, they rolled through the Clifton Road corridor at about 1 pm yesterday with the second patient. Please stop kibbitzing over the video. All of you are pretty cool people and it is REALLY confusing to me to see good fishkeepers who should have some sort of grounding in biology or science talking this way. Am I just mistaken about fishkeeping? :(

is there a point in the pursuit of this discussion?

I am not suggesting it is ready to mutate; but suppose if flu virus and Ebola virus exist in the same environment, can they exchange genetic information or are they too far apart to do so?

We are done here. This is no longer a discussion worth maintaining.
