VATF settled in the 520 gallon.

That does have to be one of the nicest Vatf I've seen on here. That thing would look good on the wall.

Sorry for your loss.

+1 I know I haven't commented on the thread yet but wow I loved your vatf he was so awesome in pics can't even imagine what he looked like in person, I can't believe that happened to him. Like whenever I'd want to look at a sweet ATF id go to this thread and think to myself one day i will get as nice a vatf as yours lol.
On a side note I really think you should keep a dorado, they're VERY fun fish and not skittish at all, vids on YouTube don't make them look as fun as they actually are, trust me what db junkie said about them during feeding, mine definetly doesn't disappoint lol.

Thanks guys. I may just put my golden mahseers in the big tank now or look for a dorado now that the VATF is gone. I wanted him to grow out to be one of the biggest but mine was just too darn skittish and it was amazing he lasted this long but he was fun to have while I had him. My wife called him "scaredy cat". Maybe it was my Asian RTG arowana that made him so skittish as he used to bite him every once in a while but had given that up the last few months as the dynamics in the tank had changed and I gave the aro more fish to occupy him. I won't be venturing back to the tiger fish again as I am in the process of downsizing and will be selling one of my growout tanks. I have more fish then I need and it's either sell them or put them in the big tanks so I can sell the growout tank. I still have a group of 6 big widebar silver dollars,4 mahseers, goonch, albino adonis, pair of odoes and a couple fancy plecos that need to make it to the big tanks. But the asian aro, rays, armatus and vatf where preventing this so now maybe the mahseer can go with the asian arowana.

Sorry to here. Same demise happened to my large VATF.

Just curious, do you run moonlights at night or run your tanks dark?

Run them dark but when I introduce new fish to the ray tanks I use the basement lights on a dimmer switch.

You've got one of the nicest fish collections on this site Blk, and your tanks are always beautiful ... sry to hear about the ATF man, they are such a difficult fish to cater to, and yours was a beauty

Thanks and right back at you as your collection of fish are very nice! On to hardier fish for me but most likely just move the ones I already have in the grow out tank to the big tanks.
