had the same thing the last few days, my prized midas died grew him for 4 years or so from 6 to 13 inch. sorry man, seems we are in the same boat.
 
yea it was like a cancer that would not stip spreading. he fougt thru it like a champ tho.

Hey thanks dude, flicked straight to the pics when I opened it then read the replies. Will always have midas in my life as Im sure you will o's, sod all the expensive fish, growing a 12+ inch personable cichlid is the only way.

dude do not use charcoal.. in tanks. I had a pair of albino Oscars once that got hith I was told to quite using charcoal. the albys were a lose but I have never had hith since I stopped using it.
 
yea anytime. he was a beauty. irs hard for me to come by those kind of.midas around my city. but yea gotta aim for the big boys. i think the only small fish i have is.my striped raph catfish and its 5 inches
