Beamswork LED's

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Can someone recommend which fixture to use for a 180g freshwater tank? I haven't fully decided between doing a cichlid tank, or large community tank but there's a bunch of different one's and I'm a little unsure of which one to go with? I'd prefer to get one 72" fixture and I want to make sure the tank will get good coverage front to back being 24" wide.

These are both a little higher priced but have more LEDs:

This one is cheaper with less LEDs:

I kinda wish I had gone with the same one you did. I went with the second one I listed and it's extremely bright. Wouldn't be cost effective to ship it back so I will keep it.

I'm running the version before this one and I also bought from topdog. Still running strong on my 30 and 55 no problems what so ever.

Great info, i was thinking about doing a cheap diy light strip, my cost was going to be around $25.00. But I went to ebay and found the size i need for my bowfront and they cost $43 free shipping for the 36", $48.00 for the 48". Best thing is that they ship from texas, which happens to be the same city I live in. So they should get here fast.

Updates? Who's still running the beamswork lights?

Does anyone elses Beamswork LED power supply make a constant ticking sound? I finally got my aquarium together and filled today and it's in my living room which is not very big, and the ticking is driving me insane. I am just curious if this is the norm with these things or if something is wrong with it. When the fan occasionally kicks on, it's quite loud.
