What to stock in a 300 gallon?

Lol nah it's good man I always like to hear opinions. The back is foam you can just peel it off its just dead coral. Eventually when there's water in there algae will regrow on it and I'll plant the crevices in the back with javamoss and other plants. When I first got it that was te first thing I was going to do with it, but now that Ive had it awhile it's really grown on me. The corals and everything on the back are so intricate when looking at them in person. Also feel like it'd be a waste to have those corals that have been growing for years just take them out and throw them away. I'm thinking about putting some dwarf tanganyikans inthere maybe they can breed in the back ground too lol there's a lot of crevices and caves. They'd be too small and hopefully will be ignored by my bigger predators. I've been thinking about bass but it seems to me kelberi and monos would probably be the only ones I could keep for awhile. Im hoping to get this thing running before January but you never know lol don't think that's gonna happen.
Currently im thinking Rays, opsariichthys species, tor masheer, and possibly bass, ATF, hydrolycus sp. prob not lepomis sp tho

Well one thing you can say for sure that will be a one of a kind tank because I have never seen anything like that before!!! LOL.. I would just be worried about it raising the PH levels in the tank and what kind of food, poop, ect getting in those holes that you won't be able to get out.. This could cause high Nitrate problems!!!!
 
Yeah nitrate problems should be remedied by heavily planting the back wall... But you got me thinking now never even considered that. However I just assumed that the previous owner had no problems with it, so therefore I shouldnt lol. Ph will be increased no doubt but some people have found that many species of fish that come from soft acidic water often do better in harder alkaline water. However I know Forsure that the calcium and other deposits left behind will be great for growing plants... It'll be an interesting tank. Hopefully I can convince my parents that it'll be interesting enough to keep even after I graduate and go to college
 
Nice pick up, I like the background it's unique. Go for a trio of odoes, a trio of tats and throw in a faft if you can find one.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, except tats are harder to find in my area than armatus lol. Ik someone in my area that also has a footlong fatf but wants at least $300 for it. I work at a good lfs so I can get most of those for a pretty good price. Isde if you were willing to sell me that curupira he would've gone in here lol

A footlong fatf, rays, and a wolf would make a sweet tank;)....Im always over the fence about selling him, I grew him out from 3 inches and got kind of attached.

Haha yeah I would be too lol he's a really nice fish... Been thinking of doing a water cow goby too I had a 16 incher a few years ago that was very active and hanfed but couldn't get him off feeders was an awesome looking fish too. Kinda like a wolf but not really haha

My Rays (and masheer and opsariichthys) haven't eaten 2-3 inch giant danios that are in there with them so I might consider doing community fish and rays... Maybe lol
