Odd pair (Thai silk and texas)

He did create some awesome dirty kamfas with my kkp. The outcross was extremely beneficial, these fry were very healthy and I still see a couple of them around at friends' houses and pics people send me of them. One is near 14" and is pink base color with great pearl coverage.

Too bad you got rid of the fry could have been a step for something similar to thai greens, or a shortcut for pearling for someone's rt prodject.

I get what you are saying but if I did that I would be loading somebody's breeding project up with known bad genetics. Silks = poor health and short lives. Why would I want a fish descended from that legacy? I wouldn't.
Funny you said shortcut.... I don't think shortcuts should be involved in breeding anything lol.
