Who can guess what these are?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Lol, nothing really, sentimental I guess. I always thought it was a funny design on it, but I've seen similar designs on spoons. Over the years new modern looking spoons flooded the drawer, lol actually the old spoons I used to mix my dogs food. Long story short, I'm using it today! :D

Gotcha, there are certain old forks and spoons in our drawer that I prefer to use over the newer stuff.
Jclyde we also used to pour juice into metal drinking cups and freeze them for a bigger bit of a treat.

I would think anyone old enough to be on MFK (13+) would be familiar enough with ice cube trays to recognize these pretty quickly. lol

I'm 15 and only have seen the ones that were plastic and we hit on the counter then play 24 cube pickup with melting ice cubes.

I remember those old metal ice cube trays. They were rough on the fingers for sure! The ones we used had a longer lever positioned in the middle of the tray and you pulled up and toward the end.

If you want to throw kids these days off just show them this pic and ask them what the correlation between these two objects are... probably not too many of the millennium babies would know?

As for that ice-cube tray, i'm sure i still have some like that laying around somewhere from my grandarents days... although maybe the g/f chucked it out by now...

That thing is a relic. Man, I'm old LOL

I don't think most people under 25 would know what this is

Case in point: I just, right now, asked my 29 year old co-worker if she knew what the ice cube tray was and she had no idea LOL

Okay, i take that back, my g/f didn't know what the ice-cube tray was either, and shes in her late 20's as well...

The cassette tape...now that's a relic.

I just think they look similar enough to the modern ice cube trays that most people could connect the dots, even if they hadn't used this particular type of tray. Lol

X2. I'd never seen those before but they look too close to the plastic ones

I also don't buy the theory that majority of people have the ice machine in their fridge. Most people aren't going straight from parents house to a house with the more expensive utility. theres usually a transition period (dorm, apartments, rental houses)
