Weirdo Pbass -- I Need Housing Advice, Too~!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I updated Bloop's thread, so here's the other guy. Hybrid azul with SOMETHING, haha, not sure what though. I kind of feel like this thread turns into a party game with everyone guessing and saying why. ;) He's zippy and snatches food out of EVERYONE's mouths, including the jags, the oscar, severums, and even the endli bichir (!). Bloop makes sure to keep him in line. As he's gotten larger (about 10" now), he's developed some interesting silvery and golden patterns on his upper body -- almost like the muscle striations are showing underneath his rather pale scales!

I admit I am a little confused with how popular he seems, but I like practicing photography, and had some new polarizing and UV filters that I wanted to try out on my camera, so VOILA!

Rad update.
Crazy hybrid for sure.
You can definitely see the Azul in her.
Cant wait to see what she looks like in a few more months.

Awesome looking hybrid

Stripey continues to be mysterious!

There's some nice pale outlining that has started to show up around his? Her? Stripes. The hybrid has also surpassed Bloop in size, he's about 12" now. Interesting thing about Stripey is that there are a few spangles on the very hind edge of his anal fin, suggesting kelberi somewhere in there. My guess at this point is mono/kelberi x azul??? Strange things coming out of unsupervised breeding ponds in Singapore... ;)

Stripey is about 14 inches now. Been trying to put the moves on Bloop, but she's not going for it (and I'm kind of glad for it). I'm definitely thinking some sort of mono/Azul cross.

That guy has turned out awesome! Defiantly looks monzul. Glad you kept it and did such a great job.
