I'm getting a 75g and 1 delhezi and 2 african butterflies; anybody here know of mid-level fish that aren't in the barb and tetra family that will be compatible? I really love oddball/predatory fish and would like one to take that mid spot. But I have been having a ridiculous amount of trouble finding anything that will work for me, I really need some help guys

You can easily fit more smaller species in there if you want. 5-6 should do fine together. You can also add other fish for some different levels of movement. Ctenopoma mix great with polys. African Butterflyfish are good surface dwellers. Lots of other fish will work as well.

I've heard people suggest angel fish or cichlids of certain kinds but a) I really like my plants and b) I am concerned I'd buy the wrong kind of angel or cichlid.

My fitted panels are on order and arrive Friday. Until then I've got something rigged.
