There's a fish store near me that has a couple 2 year old red oscars for sale....65 bucks each. Crazy right. She says she sells them but most places have them around 25-30 bucks....good luck that's a REALLY good looking Oscar. What do you feed him? His colors are gorgeous

hey guys I have a really good looking 13" 2 year old oscar in my 120 gallon. He looks nicer than most oscars I've seen and he looks like he has really good genes. I was planning on selling him on kijiji. So anyways I would like to see from an experts opinion on how much you think this tiger oscar's worth. Here's some pics!:drool::drool::drool::drool:

I just fed him ordinary tetra medium sized cichlid pellets believe it or not lol! I fed him them ever since he was an inch long (smaller ones of course) and an odd live crayfish or red wiggler. I bet if you feed an oscar hikari or massivore pellets when it's small to adulthood it would look awesome! Thanks again!

That's an average looking Oscar. Every one is just to use to seeing Oscars poorly cared for lol.

That's very true actually. I bet if you saw the appalling conditions the fish that one fish store I know personally as the be THE WORST fish store I know. Everyone here would hang the owner for treason 0.0
I've seen adult beaten up oscars kept in 40 gallon aquariums with EYES MISSING there. Hell they even kept a silver arowana they were selling for $250 because they claimed it to be a asian arowana in a 40 breeder! It was practically 18"! I don't want to write 20 paragraphs on all they do, but lets just say that if a health inspector saw the conditions they kept their mammals, fish, and reptiles (I've found dead dried out corn snakes in tanks) They would be fined and shut down GUARANTEED...

Hes worth $50-75, 30-40 for a quick sale. But Id keep him and get rid of the other fish, or maybe get him his own 125 gallon.

I Was going to say the same. I see much worse Oscars sell at big als for $50. No reason why a good keeper wouldn't pay $30-40 for him.
