Actually, that's a lie. I made a 16-hour round trip to get them. :D

You could've just had them shipped. Im sure you didn't drive 16 hrs just for these little fish.

How big do they max size at? Congrats on the score.

They were shipped. They came from Canada, which means I had to use my import permit at a designated US port of entry to get them. I had to drive 5 hours to Miami, do 5 hours worth of paperwork at US Fish & Wildlife, Customs, and American Airlines, then drive 4.5 hours back to Ocala to drop some fish off to another buyer and 1.5 hours from there back to my house. So all in total, 16 hours. ;)

Hope you post updates regularly, I will be watching this thread to see how they progress, and will be interested to see when the orange/reddish color starts to show.

Oliver wasn't kidding when he said they were slow growing. I've had them for a few months now and I've seen basically no change. They finally started eating small pellets well. They are always out and about with their fins erect but they are still skittish when I approach too fast.

Though slow growing, looks like its putting on some stunning colors already, and very healthy. congrats.
I see Wet Spot now has them on the list at $100 a pop.

That's a beautiful shot of a beautiful fish! I agree with duanes about showing stunning colors.
