but oh well, I was just accused of never giving useful info on mfk ever, so i'll give you some tips

if your tank is too close to windows or sunlight, it will cause algae blooms. you can also buy a uv sterilizer light and connect it to your filtration system. the water being filtered will go thru the light and clear up your water. try that out and let us know how it works out.

the algae doesn't harm the fish or necessarily indicate bad quality water. generally people just don't prefer it for cosmetic reasons. some even like it if they have a native stock and want that green water. it all just depends what you want

i'm sure others would be more than happy to give you other tips as well.
