Haven't really joined in these type of conversations but why not? Guess I've never really noticed this thread.
Today I squatted 355 x4. Currently sitting at 162lbs.
My bench is maxed at 275 x3 right now. I cant see going heavier right now as I'm nursing a shoulder injury.
I don't do flat bench much anymore as I usually gravitate towards incline DB for my heavy lifts, followed by cable flies. DB flies seem to wreak havoc on my shoulder.
Aesthetics are taking forever to catch up with strength, but who's to complain.
Consistency has been my achilles heal. I'll hit it hard for 6 months and see good results, then back off for some reason. Usually it's a small injury of some sort, but I tend to just drop off for months at a time.
I now have a buddy I work out with regularly so hopefully this will keep me motivated to carry on for years on end
