Do Midas/Red Devils get like big and nasty on there own or do they not compare to dovii? This video made me toss up between a big middevil or dovii

It's so hard because I know that I can only have one or the other and I've never had either so I really just need lots of people's opinions on the best option with the tank options I have available in the OP.

Hello from a fellow QLDer ;)

A couple of suggestions for you:

What about a Mangrove Jack? The guy who owns Red Dragon Aquatic (at Darra) has one and he's super cool. Not sure what their tank requirements are or how hard they are to come across, so you'd have to look into it. But they are an awesome fish. Link HERE if you want to check one out.

What about a big old Flowerhorn? I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but I think they're cool.

Personally I find Peacock bass to be pretty boring, but that's just my opinion.

Or what about some rays?

I know mangrove Jack get bloody BIG like up around barramundi size so I don't thing that's possible unfortunately because they are really cool. I think I might go the way of big Midas because I do love that real aggression and personality plus the big bump on the head and of course the size :)

If you het a 6x3 tank and drop a Midas in there, that would be awesome.
It seems like a lot of tank for one fish but theyre awesome and active.
