I know mangrove Jack get bloody BIG like up around barramundi size so I don't thing that's possible unfortunately because they are really cool. A couple of suggestions for you:
What about a Mangrove Jack? The guy who owns Red Dragon Aquatic (at Darra) has one and he's super cool. Not sure what their tank requirements are or how hard they are to come across, so you'd have to look into it. But they are an awesome fish. Link HERE if you want to check one out.
What about a big old Flowerhorn? I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but I think they're cool.
Personally I find Peacock bass to be pretty boring, but that's just my opinion.
