That fish is a male. He is a ittle washed out because he is on white substrate, if you had him in a dark substrate you would see the color change. The blue will be nice once he matures he is still young.
I hope you are right.. I will post another pic of him later. Now that he has settled in he has coloured up a lot more, but still a bit concerned as them spots still havent popped as to when I first bought him. That fish is a male. I couldnt do anything for the little guy because I was half way cooking dinner, plus I was also looking after my 6 month old daughter. I had to let nature take its course... But the bass bit off more than he can chew and end up dying with the terror half way down its throatAnd you took a picture, save the little guy lol... Is he/she ok?
Tapping it with a net wouldn't have done anything because i seen the dovii give the bass a few good rib shots and also the dovii tried pulling the terror out by the tail. After I had seen this i gave up on the terror and thought I'd let nature take its course. Wasnt until hours later I notice the bass had choked on itDumb, all u had to do was hit him with a net...Could've been a easy save...:/
Ps. F***k my dinner...& this guy enough time to take a picture...
