

I was going to post this, and then saw the last post about the Senator, and loled...at how many are still out there!! This was my Grandfathers, it's also from the 60's...potentially earlier.Yeah, the older senators are great, around here people use them for shore casting for ulua all the time. Often times people will swap out the gearing for a Newell. That way you have the strong body of the senator and fast gearing of the Newell. Here's a 9/0 and a 12/0 older American made. These reels started to be outsource to China in the 90's and continue to be in production there to this day. These reels are from the 60's.
