What could I safely add to this tank?

Hi,

90g tank
Cascade 1200 canister filter
Currently has a longfinned Oscar, and 3 Red Tailed Botia. I'd like to add one more fish, any suggestions on what might work?

Firemouths? I always like Oscars and firemouths together.

Personally, I wouldn't add any more fish. Once all those fish turn into adults, the bio-load is maxed out. Besides that, you put your longfin at risk of having tattered fins if you add another cichlid.

I agree with Rocksor, don't know the size of the oscar, but it will soon max out 90 gal by itself, and as Rocksor stated, other cichlids, or even some other fish could tend to compromise the beauty of the flowing fins.

I'd say the O, but Acara's can be quite chilled; they only tussle really when other fish get out of line, in my experience.

I agree. Acara are usually the police of the tank, imo. O's can be hit or miss, you might get a terror, or a very chill one.
