Lol, I doubt that you have to worry about the dats mine chase my Cichla around. I wish I could've cheated this is easily the most stubborn bass I've ever had.
these kels being pellet trained was the main reason I got them. Second reason was that they didn't break the piggy bank. I figure it should be easy growing them out. Boy....I was wrong! I hate pellet training bass
 
Use gangsters, "bloodworms to pellets" method. Bass are cake compared to training payara.
Oh I always use the bloodworm method and for the first time ever I'm not having any luck with it...Now if it's not shaped like a block of bloodworms he won't even look at it lol.

I have trimmed the cubes down little by little every feeding, till they have a close shape to carni sticks or pellets.

That's another thing that I will miss about Sharkaquarium,most of his young cichla were already pellet trained when I bought them from him although mine were pricier back then than kels are nowadays.I don't think kels can get any cheaper than they now lol.
 
Here is a month update. The Indonesian kelberi was sold as tems. I also have an Indo Bahia which I have not gotten any good pics to post.
