female salvini (solo) in 20g long

I want a female salvini and If I recall they only get 4-5 inches and think one would be fine in a 20 long completely alone. Just want some opinions on if this is enough to house a female comfortably. I have read that it fine but I'd rather check here first
 
True, but does it sound reasonable to house it for life in a 20g in general

It's just one of these things, whether you're comfortable with it; many fish can be kept in tanks with regular water changes, if she hides constantly and doesn't act naturally, then the tank would be too small in my opinion, but if she is comfortable and we'll housed, then id try it.
 
Although salvini are on the small side as far as Central Americans go, I always figure 10 gallons per inch of adult cichlid, or its like putting a great dane in a bathroom 24/7.
And if you do, it would naturally end up alone, because anything you try to put in with her, she will almost inevitably kill.
