Not trying to limit your subject matter..just pointing out the origin and self indulgent nature of such trivial pusuit in the name of "social outrage."... i think you will find you are in a minority in being offended by homosexuality in the 21st century. .. but by all means verbally assault me...you will find it tough to offend me since you have proven to have a stance on the subject that rates as un -defendandable in modern civil society ..rendering your opinion irrelevant in my opinion. .peace out ..don't take it personally. .i don't
As a postscript to my previous post ..it is pretty obvious that the origins of this thread come from fox noise or other closely related news organizations. .me "bringing it up" isn't an original thought nor did i make it up out of thin air..... the op has some very thinly disguised political views ..of course i can't bring that up so i won't. ..
Hello; I am one of those offended. I do not necessairly think we are in the minority. It was my understanding that some same sex marriage issues were decided by a large number of those voting in USA states, but that the courts stepped in and reversed things. Going against the views of the majority .
You have clearly been misinformed. ..recent polls ( from anytime in the last year).have *** marriage being supported by a clear majority in the U.S. ....maybe you have been watching the wrong news channel. .there are some networks here that still deny the polls...it is kind of amusing...the gallup poll has supprt at 60%.... that's pretty definitive ...that would be a landslide in an election ...remember the op lives in maybe the most backward state in the US... clearly he is influenced by the lack of civility in his surroundings and the primitive state of the government there

Hello; I was thinking of actual voting results not a poll. I have answered polls and was aware of how the questions were phrased. Polls are taken from a small percentage of a population and from that extrapolations are often made. If I recall correctly such marrage was voted down in some states.
Your implication that I get my news from a slanted news source is noted. If it is the one previously mentioned in this thread, you are mistaken.
People on here stating that this issue offends them are the same people saying that people these days are offended too easily these days. If you are offended or made to feel uncomfortable by same sex marriage or same sex couples then you are far too easily offended and are, IMO, the issue. Homophobia is a taught behaviour, passed from close minded person to person, whether you choose to believe it is your choice.
And as far as things being better in the 'good ol' days', back in the good ol days you had polio, you had leaded cars, you had segregated restraunts, women couldn't vote. When people say that things were better when they were kids or back in the day, its cause we have a tendency to look back on our past with rose tinted glasses, nostalgia is a hell of a drug. I'm glad things aren't like they were 20, 30 or 50 years ago because looking back through history makes me embarrassed to be a human, we need to move forward, to progress, not step back in time cause life was 'simple' back then.
To sum it up, those who can't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
