So the planning has begun. Tank will be a Marineland 300DD (72x36x27). I'm wanting to design the stock list around a coral catshark (Atelomycterus Marmoratus). Purchase size I've seen most likely will be 8-10". What would be some good tankmates for it? Stipulations would be they would need to stay in the 300 for life, be readily available, and affordable (in the under $300 price range). I would like maybe another sedentary fish/eel (miniatus grouper? Tessie?) and at least one fish that will bring some daytime action to the tank (Lookdowns? I'm not a big fan of them though).

Had mine years ago cohabiting with snowflake moray. Had bamboo sharks prior with panther grouper volitan lion fish.:)

I currently have a snowflake in my reef tank. I have a feeling it may be too small to cohab with a coral cat pup being that the eel is only about 12". I think the cat would out grow and munch on him pretty quickly.

Actually my snowflake moray was about the same size, but I had a few non live coral structures where it could always retreat to.:) My catsharks were very active with lights out, I made sure they were well fed. Do you feed yours squid? that's one of their favorites lol:)

Avoid Triggers had one bite the eye out of a bamboo shark, visited a lfs and a Queen Trigger did the same thing to their bamboo catsharks! I warned them but apparently they didn't believe me. Was very agitated because the fish didn't deserve to go through that.
