Pitbulls attack mother, kills child(4 years old)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have experience with bully breeds since ive kept them my whole life.
i have helped train bully breeds as well multiple other large breed dogs
in schutzhund 1-3, basic obedience training and the likes. what happened
is no doubt a very unfortunate event but people need to stop with this whole
pit bull is a evil breed of dogs and need to "be rid of from the world" nonsense.
it couldve happened with any other dog breeds & yet its always bash the
bully breed. heck while i was still in school when i was younger i've been bit
many times to the point i lost count while i worked as a dog groomer and basic
obedience trainer and i have never been bit by a pit bull or any other bully breeds
and as a matter of fact any larger breed dogs even without restrictive harness
or muzzles. the most common breed of dog ive been bit by were all smaller
breeds such as chihuahuas, beagle, pomeranian, and other small breed mutts.
regardless of breed purebred or mutt each dog is different but with proper knowledge,
care, responsibility most if not all dog attacks should/could be prevented. the
problem lies with the dogs owner or the person. and honestly the child's mother is
also fault... she should not have let her child near the dogs or the fence where the
dogs were when both parties are unfamiliar with each other. the dogs were clearly
unsupervised and their actions prove that they were not properly taken care of and
neglected. as a human being she shouldve been smarter and have been more
responsible but she wasnt and most likely just shrugged it off as "theyre just dogs" it'll
be ok. to be blunt its a matter of cause and effect.

1) half the people in here are trolling

2) throwing dirt on other dogs doesn't make people feel any safer about other breeds. No one has died from getting bit by small breeds.

3) did I mention a few people are trolling?

4) everyone has said its the owner's fault

5) the lounge has a long history of these threads. Nothing new has been posted. I see all the familiar faces from previous threads. Just tryna save you some time my friend.

eh i get bothered by this subject as a fellow bully keeper and lover.
and i have heard of someone dying from getting bit by a small dog.
canine punctured the vein and the person bled out and died but its
hearsay so its not a guaranteed 100% fact. still hurts when you get
punctured by the canine reglardless of dog size this is from personal
experience lol...

Well....I would hope if this lady encountered 3 3-8 pound dogs her child would still be alive.

As many dog breeds as there are, I'm positive you and I would just find another dog to love if push ever came to shove. It's obvious that not all people can be trusted with large dogs who need true care and training.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - A small Pomeranian dog killed a 6-week-old baby girl in Valinda when the infant's caretaker left the bedroom to prepare a bottle of milk, authorities said Sunday.

A relative left the baby unattended for a moment, and when he returned, he found the infant's head in the dog's mouth Saturday night, county sheriff's Deputy Cruz Solis said. The girl died of head trauma at an area hospital, Solis said.

The names of the victims were withheld by authorities because the baby's parents are out of the country and had not yet been notified, Solis said.

County animal control officers took the dog for an investigation, Solis said.

Pomeranians are a breed of miniature canines that have a foxlike face, pointy ears and long, fluffy hair. The deputy said Pomeranian attacks are rare, especially compared to attacks by bigger dogs such as Rottweilers and pit bulls.

"Obviously it doesn't take much to kill a 6-week old baby but it's not something that happens with that breed," Solis said.

The relative, who has not been charged with any crime, was taking care of the baby in the community of Valinda, 20 miles east of Los Angeles.

seems these little guys can be quite mean. Paris Hilton , are you listening?

lol paris hilton has a chihuahua

lol they all little yap and craps.

Owning any of the powerful breeds is a big responsibility and liability.
Hello; I agree with this.

mother says they where eating him and nothing she could do, this nothing any mother should have to see.
Hello; I agree with this and the other statements about the owner needong to be punished for not being responsible in keeping the dogs pinned up.

that majority if not all "pit bull" related dog attacks
are not actually pit bulls but mutts
Hello; This "identification " ploy is addressed in on of the links I posted. It is a common way to try and confuse the issues with this type of bully dog. Also in one of the links was reference to a court determination about the ability of people to identify these type dogs. This ploy has been exposed.

what "we" man kind made them to be. the only ones at fault here are us humans for taking in a animal and not being responsible about it... most people who get/has dogs have no real knowledge of dog behavior or signs and what not and this is why dog attacks happen even though it can be avoided. people need to learn and study it before

please stop as any dog regardless of
its breed can be deemed "dangerous" and not just pit bulls.

Hello; Several have posted in this thread about the bully dogs require special handling and understanding. I get it, The bully types need such special handling.
I do contend that the bully types are more dangerious and have given the statistics several times. They are 6% of all dogs, yet responsible for around 55% of all fatal maulings. That alone is sufficent, to my way of thinking, to consider them as a dangerious type. Numbe two on the list of dangerious types are the rottweilers. The numbers are real and have held for several years.

Hello; A mother being attacked and her child being mauled to death and partly consumed in front of her is more than "very unfortunate" to my way of thinking. This is a very suitable description of evil to me. These were not wild lions or some such, but dogs kept by people and what many consider a pet.

the child's mother is
also fault...

Hello; You lose me completly with this statement. Are you out of your mind? Somehow we are not to walk down a street with our children in our neighborhoods?

the lounge has a long history of these threads. Nothing new has been posted. I see all the familiar faces from previous threads. Just tryna save you some time my friend

Hello; This is true. I have posted in these pitt bull threads before. I have had at least one pitt bull champion wish I will be mauled by a pitt bull i talked about in my neighborhood. Same people -same points being made. My points being the better of course.

getting bit by a small dog.

Hello; Quite a stretch here.

Hello; This thread brought to mind an incident in Los Vegas. With reference to the notion that dog, including pitt bull types, can be trained to do whatever we want them to do or not do. I thought of Sigfred and Roy with their white tigers. I agree that the concept applies in that dangerious large animals can be trained. These guys did very well for a long time with the white tigers. Just took one bad day to end it . Dogs are not tigers, but the point was that they can have built in parts of their nature. That with training these natural tendencies can be suppressed I do not doubt, but they do not go away.

No one cares if you get mauled by your own dog (or tiger or whale). Problem is putting other people on danger. Personally I don't care how great a dog is with its handler. I care how great it is with other people and how it percieves danger. No logical reason why a trained animal would drag a small child away and kill it
