I wanted to start a little discution.
What would be the best cichlid to have him alone in a tank, maybe in a pair.
Lets compare them with those points.
-colours
-interraction with the owner
-breeding dificulty(if in pair)
-aggressiveness
-hardyness
-maximum size
-strenght
I wanted to know what would be the best badass cichlid to keed and the prettiest. thanks

Flowerhorns!

The two I have are super interactive, like underwater puppies. I have no plans for breeding, but they have been really hardy and easy to keep.

That is a very good contender...I'd throw a midas forward or some sort of amph

Go with a step before the flowerhorn, go with a Trimac! They match all of the criteria, although I have no experience with breeding. Maybe somebody else could help me out on that

Texas cichlids have always been up there with the best for me

I am going with Amphilophus because I love them the most. But the best I think is an Oscar. They are awesome but I am more partial towards the Central American cichlids.

They turned out to be great parents. One day the male decided to kill the female and that was the end of that.
