BEST SINGLE SPECIES CICHLID

All kinds of goodies. I kept 6 beautiful Red head tapajos and got 3 breeding pairs out of them that was some luck of the draw I bought them from TUIC @ 1"
to the OP I think festae are among the most beautiful cichlids there are. Never owned them.
I did have a nice Breeding pare of Pachromis Motaguenses I would recommend them too.

Another very cool cichlid perfect for a 55 is Krobia xinguenses. This is a female guarding some older fry, great parents and hands down one of the most stunning South American cichlids around. These and Chocolates are my favorites well them and Festavus and angels........etc, etc. LOL.
Festae for color. I've never kept them before so don't know their personalities but I've heard they can be very mean!
Thats why i would want them alone in the tank, all i know is they wont be as bad as dovii's lol
I have a female Red Devil (midevil) by herself in a 60 gallon tank and she is a great wet pet. She's about 6 1/2 or 7 inches right now and will probably get up to at least 10 inches.
She watches me wherever I am in the room, follows my hands through the glass and even eats from my hand like a dog. This is the first time I have kept a single large fish by itself and I am really enjoying it, will definitely be keeping her for a very long time!
