A few new pics from the green terror tank.

Thanks for that Benno87. I have just read it.
I don't think it's a inbred thing.I think it's natural for the females to develope this white dorsal edge.
I have just looked through several videos on YouTube of GT pairs and all of the mature females seem to have the white edge.

Good stuff, cheers for that as I've been wondering about it for a while and I reckon your theory is spot on. I'm actually really looking forward to putting this big girl with my boy and seeing what her breeding dress looks like. Reckon they'll produce some lovely fry. Can stack some size onto my smaller girl then too.

How are you currently keeping yours?
How many females do you have and are they on their own or do they have other tank mates?

I've been keeping GTs continuously for over a decade. GT body shape and temperament are quite variable. Some are more aggressive than others, and the body shape varies from long to tall. The OP's GT, like mine, has tall body so I don't think they are F1 as wild strain tends to have longer body and more aggressive. My GT strain was originally imported from Asia that was selectively bred for big hump and tall body.

Mine have no hump at all.

The male is currently in his 50 gallon with a swarm of 30mm fry and the girls are in the 2 foot qt tank atm(I'd been hoping that the small girl would live peacefully with him but she destroys him when they spawn lol). Have got a 125 lined up already for when me and the mrs move into a bigger place in a couple of months then will hopefully be able to keep him in that peacefully with the bigger girl whilst the smaller ones growing out some more in the 50. No tank mates as I just don't have the room. Already hate havin to keep the girls divided in the 2 foot. Planned on getting them into something bigger by now but broke me ankle couple months back and have only just gotten back to work lol.

Oh well mate at least it's only temporary.
Be nice when you do get the 125 set up for them though.
If you can add a few other tank mates in the future, your female will be a lot less inclined to batter your male if you do.
Here are some of the critters that have worked well for me with my rivulatus.
