Ahh thanks for the feedback guys, I'm gonna try to lower the temperature a bit for him then and see if that opens up his appetite. He is absolutely the laziest fish I have ever kept.

How do you say this is bagarius bagarius???

How long have you had him? IME these guys can take a while to settle in. I've had some start eating right away, others take a month or longer to start eating and 1 that ate very little at first then started eating more and more throughout the weeks.

The dead giveaway to me are the extremely long pectoral fins and how dorsolaterally compressed it is. My old yarelli looked similar but it's pectoral fins were not as large. This is 100% HLG

For reference. My 2 HLG's

This is a video of my old bagarius from west bengal, India

The pattern and coloring is very different.

I shall share another video of the two juvies from the same river

I got mine right before thanksgiving of last year at about 20cm, just under 8 inches and now it's 24cm about 9.5" so it's grown a bit that I know since I've measured. In the beginning, it had a big appetite but it was kept in a tank with my Mala wolf and I think the Mala was bullying him as he had one torn pec and a flesh wound on his tail. Since then I removed the Mala and then ultimately now moved the goonch to his own temporary quarantine healing tank and has healed back to 100%. Right now, just not feeding much at all.. Like one rosy red per 5 days.
