Possibility yes,but that's beside the point of the issue at hand.

Yeah J jaws7777 , does seem they didn't take the potential threat serious and got burnt by it. Then got caught lying about what the trigger for the attack was. All and all, dude dies even if she didn't lie because they clearly didn't think he was in serious danger. I'm not upset per say, it's sad. I just don't understand the hype, people can't even tell me who else's death the secretary of defense is responsible for. You lose a lot of people through the course of that job.

I agree with you to an extent. But from what i understand they may have not given them the repsonse nedded to avert some sort of international fiasco. Maybe he sidnt have to die who knows. But i think people are all up in arms because yeah we know these bumbs all lie but we dont often catch them. She got caught. Ontop of trying to tote the PC slogans of saying it was because of a film. Thats what annoys me most the pc thing

Or maybe they send more help and more people die. Who knows how it plays out. The guy didn't ask to be removed. Only that he was worried about his security and would like more sent.

If you were among those people that were being attacked you would only want it to be played out one way....with help coming with all barrels blasting.So the guy did not ask to be removed...that means nothing and it doesn't give anyone a pass for not sending help.

+1 if that were the case many of our soldeirs would be left behind... pkus i dont thinknthat would sit well with the rank amd file.

Regardless of if they accpeted the risks they deserved to be helped and the whole issue is that she lied about the reason why people died imo is disrespectful to the sacrifice they made. Imagine if it were one of our loved ones how would we feel if the death of our sister brother whatever was downplayed, disrespected, and used as political justification for inaction. Atleast admit what these guys died for

Agreed on the disrespect. Just....if they died because of a video and Muslim push back or because of an organized terrorist attack is really insignificant IMO. Which is what the "what difference does it make" quote comes from. They as an organization took something too lightly and it cost us some lives. No denying that. Easy for us to play captain hindsight about the outcome. I however don't like that she told the family that it was about the anti Muslim video when at the time they knew it was unrelated. That's what politicians do though. They spin things to fit an agenda.
