you've got it, go ahead and use it, sparingly. otherwise you're just wasting the animal's lives that went into making it, the energy used to make and transport it, and the energy and materials used in producing the packaging.
it's just like your dietary requirements. a cheeseburger every now and then isn't that big of an issue, eat them all the time and it takes a toll on you and the rest of the environment.
Thanks for the reply. Now I feel much better knowing that I am not going to waste all those high nutritious food. Yeah, I would probably feed it to my Oscar once every few weeks. But I do not know when he/she is going to finish all of it since the Oscar is so little.
Now the Oscar has the 75G for him/herself. He/she is only 2.5" long. I am so itchy to add a few more fish into the tank.
How can I make this Oscar grow faster? I do 80% w/c once every two days and feed twice a day. Here is the list of food I feed him:
- California Black worm (Deep Freezed Dried)
- Tetra Colorbit pellets
-Omega One sinking pellets
- Then my ground beef seafood mix once a while (Moving forward).
There are a lot of people mentioned about Chiclid Pro-Gold pellets from Hikari. I think it's protein level is not as high as some other fish food. I believe the deep freeze dried BW has almost 50% in protein.
