Im just curious what people have paid to ship from aquascape... Im kind of put off by the whole " we dont post shipping prices but we will call after theyre packed and weighed"

So if youd be so kind as to post what you paid and for how many / what types of fish?

They always have stock of the things Im looking for but i dont want to drop $250 on fish just to pay $150 in shipping.

So would anyone with relevant experience post here. Thanks

Shipping from anywhere usually runs $35-75 per box depending on ur location to the vendor. I'll gladly pay that to conviently walk to my front door for fish. Boxes/shipping supplies are an easy $20-30 so ur paying for that plus overnight postage which isnt cheap considering the weight of water. A small price to pay for specimen u cant get otherwise. Airport to airport usuallys runs me $75 per box or two plus gas to the airport so an average of $65 per box from vendors using ups/usps/fedex ive ordered from is very reasonable. I used to drive hrs away to lfs, making fish trades, and to pick up items in house from other members. Gas money alone is the same or more as shipping costs.

I honestly couldn't add anything more to that post as it is spot on.I have ordered from Aquscape a few times in the past and plan to do so again pretty soon.

You pay freight on the actual weight of the package, rather than a blanket estimate. Most packages will run $50-75 via FedEx.

Source; I've helped pack and ship orders for Pedro

They cost me $135 for a 7" tigrinus to MI 6 months ago. : ((

I paid around $60 for one fish but was worth it. Came in nicely packed and the availability/reliability of buying fish from aquascapeonline gives my mind a distraction/relief from the costs.

My last three AP to AP were all under 62 bucks and that was from Cali. The other two from Jersey and Florida were both in 50s. Pretty cheap in my opinion. Compare that to UPS or Fedex for the size boxes I recieved and its no comparison.

More and more LFS are shutting down it sucks. I hate petsmart and petco their fish selection sucks. Their tank deals is the main reason I like them even a little lol
