You said $40 a peice for 2 inch blood parrots that's ridiculous I've seen them for just under $20 for that size and think their overpriced I payed something like under 12 a peice for my 3 inch BPs then I payed 25 for my pair from a guy online which are basically 6 and 7 inches or they will be by the end of next month I can't stress how much I hate the slow growth with these fish. Anyways you can usually find a small adult for $40 at a LFS I got too and I'm talking 4-6 plus inches which isn't to bad when you consider the time put into getting the fish that size and hell the real big ones like 7-8 inches or more might cost you $60 or so and those guys are getting beefy at this point I've only seen some real nice ones at this size and price once but hey they are out their, oh and are you sure your not looking at King Kong parrots or red mammon their similar and that's still alitte pricey for a KK but not to bad at all if it's a red mammon I'd buy the red mammon for that price as quickly as possible

I truly love the look of a KK parrot I wanted a pair to stand out in my tank after I realized I couldn't get something like a red mammon for my setup due to the price and rarity of these fish but I like the way all my guys are now among their tanks anyways so I'll just leave it alone and I know that price would be ridiculous for a 2 inche red mammon that's why I'd buy it on the spot
There were actually some ppl selling some fry at like .5 for 25 a peice online for awhile who knows what these came out like but I wish I had picked some up at the opportunity I think he even offered a spend over $150 or $200 deal for free shipping so I mean that was either 6 or 8 mammon fry for $150 or $200 even just one of theses guys would almost double that as an adult crazy I passed that up

Yep mammon are expensive but a kk parrot would look nice too practically the same but much founder and bulkier

Texas, everything but the arowana are cheap or at least reasonable to average priced here. Lol for some reason aros are ridiculously expensive unless you buy them with the sac for like $30 same with a few types of fish anything extremely rare will cost you sometimes more then usual around me its that way anyways

$30 with the sak??? Wtf that is way overpriced and with the Sak I wouldn't even recommend buying for anyone unless they are an expert Bc if that Sak falls off too early they will end up dying Bc I kno they won't eat that is insane Arowana over here are $20-$25 at 3 inches the most expensive I've seen is $90 but he was also 14 inches long which I think is a fare price for that size

Yeah think again Im in Austin, the best deal I've ever seen was for one that was like just over 3 ft a real beautiful silver arowanna and they were asking like $200 and I was tempted to buy him but passed as I have no where to put the guy now or at the time and that's funny for a 3 inch your looking at $40 dollars minimum up to $75 more regularly and that's at any petstore around me none of these guys are cheap and most of these fish look pretty low grade having defects in one way or another oh and if not that they will have beaten and tattered fins/scales and good luck getting these fish established in any tank without them turning belly up in the first week or two I tried to help one that looked alittle rough I dropped like $45 on him when I first got into keeping bigger fish honestly I only had him for a few days I was keeping him in perfect water even started eating for me after a day or so but he had this weird kink in his back and started acting strange it got worse and he died later that week since then I stopped buying fish that look like **** if it's not something I know I can cure like ich. Anyways the most affordable as well as the nicest place I've gone recently for fish and supplies is the fish gallery their cheaper on the arowana about $35, still alittle overpriced on other fish like Severums and other cichlids but from what I've noticed they often offer better quality fish as well so I guess you get what you pay for. The most ridiculous place I've seen was Aquatek not to long ago they had a regular silver arowana for like $140 he was maybe 7-8 inches looked nice but what were they thinking?? Seriously? They sometimes sell actually they always sell everything at this store for about twice what its worth I've recently stopped shopping here for anything I won't even go in and look around anymore the only way I will go to this shop is for trade ins because they give 50% credit which is basically full price what I payed for the fish or even more to begin with. Lol so I guess someone else can overpay but I've stopped going unless I've got enough store credit to pickup what I need.
