So I cut out all the silicone and my wife went inside and cut it out more. We scrubbed with steel wool and acetone and the n wiped several times with just acetone. Reseal ed with rtv. About 75 percent full now. No leaks. I cured the rtv for a week.

Well it leaked. Didn't start leaking until it was all the way full. I am selling it..

Yeah, TBH personally, this is why I don't buy secondhand tanks as a lot of times you really don't know what abuse it's been through eg., handled incorrectly, lifted by bracing etc. The money you save may not be much when you throw in the headache, the sleepless nights, and the cost/time of resealing a tank let alone the damage and cleanup bill if it sprung a huge leak and you lost all your livestock.

Man that sucks,I'd be on that like a cheap suit if you werent so far away.

hello; You might try lowering the water level a bit at a time until the leak stops. It may be that the leak is near the top. If so it might be worth a try to patch the spot. Also leaks at the top of a tank do not have the pressure of leaks lower down.
I know it is a frustration, but I have had to redo tanks more than once to fix a leak.

Just curious but if you cut out all of the interior silicone what exactly did your wife cut after you were done?

Oh okay,I wanted to be sure she didnt cut out the silicone from between the panels..Anyhow,sorry you can't beat this thing and hopefully you are able to sell the tank.
