Tilapia is often used. I am gonna use frozen angelfish as a part of my exodon diet. It is only 1.7 USD a kilo.
Try wrapping fish around a pellet.
Also is there space to maybe space to build an indoor tank?
Guys I really need help now so I've been struggling with my arowana in eating pellets for 7 months now it's been eating pellets, suddenly stops it won't look at em or swallow em. It loves it's crickets so I've been stuffing the crickets with pellets. This worked for like 3 days then it lost interest and started spitting them out. I'm gonna try tilapia but how should I feed it to it. The arowana only eats floating food and the tilapia won't float also it's shy so it won't eat while I hold it. I really don't think crickets and mealworms can be a staple diet and I want to try to get it back on pellets again. What else can I try market shrimp?, earthworms?, anything else? Also is there a certain way to put the pellet in the cricket

I've been doing the 3 day water change 25%
Definetly an improvement in clarity of water I've also noticed the back of the glass has lots of green algae I've tried to scrub it off but there's a lot is that bad?
But even though I've been changing the water the arowana still won't take its pellets?

Just keep up with the water changes once every 3 days and dont offer crickets anymore

Put tilapia on a long kebab stick and prop it on the side of the tank. That is what some people do apparently

Try this, tie a fishing string to it. Just make sure when he eat it, it comes off easy. Works for my aro.

Try stuffing a chunk of raw shrimp with carni sticks , if you stuff the middle with enough pellets it'll float I do this with my jardini as part of pellet training

Only thing is I don't think you need to train your aro since it was already on pellets before. Just do a water change every 3 days and only feed him pellets if you keep giving him the option of crickets or anything besides pellets he'll never feel the need to eat the the pellets.
