I found a steal!

A 150 would be the bare minimum for a Flagtail and a datnoid. Only problem I can see is that flagtails tends to grow much quicker than dats, and flagtails can be punks. On the other hand, dats can be pretty bold themselves.

Bold is an understatement! Dats can be straight up *******s! Seriously one of the more powerful fish pound for pound if they decide to be.

If I had to choose 1, I'd go with the datnoid. My little IT is very personable while my flagtail is a bit skittish.

My understanding is that Thorichthys species like Firemouths live in groups.

Also, it's a Central American fish and may not thrive in the same conditions as an Oscar. Of course these are all captive bred, so maybe it doesn't matter so much.

I have kept firemouths and Oscars together often and it has usually worked out well. But yah I don't know if I should do sharks in the other one I feel like they may get to large for a 150 gallon I want to get the eel for sure and could I pull off a flagtail with some other schooling fish that only reaches about 8 inches I'm thinking maybe 1 black spotted eel
4 redtail blue loaches will they do great with the eel?
1 flagtail
8 Denison barbs maybe what's the max size on those?

FMs are fairly antisocial, especially towards their own kind.

Oscars and FMs will easily acclimate to most water.
