Green terror male or female ?

It's a common misconception that stalsbergi is the true GT.
It isn't.
Rivulatus was the original fish collected and called green terror.To make things more confusing, Rivulatus comes silver/white edged and orange/red edged,therefore is also known as silversaum or gold saum.
Stalsbergi is often regarded as the true GT but it is not.The fish has white /silver edges so is also called silver saum.
This is why common names are confusing, they often apply to more than one species.If the andinoacara were only called by their Latin names this confusion would not exist.

ok, so let me get this straight...... we have Andinoacara rivulatus A.K.A. Gold/Silver Saum/Green Terror and we have Andioacara stahlsbergi A.K.A. Silver/White Saum/False Green Terror?

So if I own a Gold Saum, I really own a Green Terror?

When dealing with these fish it's best to call them rivulatus or stalsbergi. It's far less confusing.
