Oh come on, it sounds like they're exaggerating on how evil that thing is or someone is pulling your leg for just giggles.
If you do bring it home, try to get some better photos. The provided photo, although sufficient to see that this is something unusual, is not enough to identify a young fish by. Especially if there's any possibility at all of this being a new species.
