Sweet potato instead of pathos

I have 2 Avocado pits, mounted on my planted tank with 4 Shishkabob skewers holding them up 1/2-way out of the water. Haven't rooted yet, but won't be long. They grow in tropical climates, low-light.

Are you sure? Never figured avocado being low light. When I used to live in Hawaii, all the avo trees I've ever seen grew in full sunlight

I could be wrong, but that's what I was told - low light or at least Indirect sunlight....if there's even a difference

You could probably grow them as a house plant in low light conditions but to actually flower they require quite a bit of light.IMO
