Whoa, time to reseal

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If I wasn't moving I would have never changed the substrate. Would have never known.

Ugh, what the heck happened?

I don't know I just shut the tank down because I'm moving in two weeks and this is what I found.

I had a jurupari eartheater in there am wondering if he was responsible.

I found the same thing happened to me in my old 100g with no center brace. Gave it to my brother and saw the same thing so I resealed it before giving it to him. So far it's still holding.

I bought this tank used, and it's very old. It has thick trim and only one center brace. (Finding lids was impossible). When I bought it I thoroughly inspected the seals and they all seemed to be in good shape. The guy I bought it from said he had it for at least 5 years and he bought it used from that point. So who knows how old this thing actually is.

looks like a bad reseal job to me. prep is everything.
