Looking for suggestions on paint for my build. I fiberglassed entire inside and bought a pigment for the resin, well needless to say I didn't get results I was looking for. It came out as a transparent blue, can still see plywood grain through it and I don't like it, being that it's going to be in my living room. I have read a lot of people use krylon fusion spray paint. I don't need an epoxy paint because tank is sealed already?

Very tricky situation. The challenge is getting paint to stick to fiberglass, let alone fiberglass under water. Your best bet is a epoxy pool paint. Remember there is a difference between epoxy resin and epoxy paint. A paint that is not epoxy will not last , period.

. Yes the underwater submered part makes everything harder with these. Maybe instead of paint, seems as though it may or may not work, and I don't want the maynot happening, I could do a 3d wrap around background. Which I guess could lead to paint again lol I'm not opposed to different ideas, rocks glued to sides?

id do another coat of heavily pigmented resin... this is not an uncommon occurence... usually i see guys doing 2-3 coats of the pigmented resin 2 get a solid color. Will add a bit more strength opposed 2 just an epoxy paint and you know it will adhere well to what u have down already. Nice to see the use of fiberglass, well done!

. Thanks, I have 2 coats of resin on it now, I was thinking about just doing a few more coats of resin. I figured fiberglass would seal it and give it more strength. That first coat of resin though wow pita. I used quarter round on bottom to cover up an eighth inch gap from a stupid miss measure, getting that to wet in was horrible. All in all I thought it turned out good. Unfortunately, it will be a few weeks before I can do much on it. Still have so much to do on this thing. Going to use rigid foam and insulate it then use cabinet grade light ply stained on outside with pine trim all the way around, but that can be done in the house while it's running, try and save a bit of weight as it's already going to take 3 men and a big to get it inside. Before I set it up in the house I'm going to put lolly columns in basement where it's going to sit to keep the weight off the floor as much as possible. But yeah I was kinda surprised when I added the resin, when mixed it was really dark and when I put it on I was like wow not so dark lol

Best option hands down is epoxy resin.
Keep adding coats is what you getting at? Hindsight, should have painted the plywood BEFORE doing the glassing, then I wouldn't have needed pigment and I think it would have looked better? Maybe lol
