How many tanks do you have

Am I weird or have you also thought, "I wish they made an UL Baitcasting reel"? How sick would that be? little tiny Baitcaster w/ like 200 yds of 4lb test MEGA-sensitive Magnetic drag and spool tensioner, and a 7 foot UL pistol-grip casting rod?.....it would resemble a fly rod in a way, sort of

......with a Flippin' switch too :) You remember the old school Shimano Brush-Buster?
hahaha could you imagine the tiny ass screwdriver you'd need to change up a magnetic drag on a reel that small? I have issues with my fat fingers now on a regular size baitcaster hahaha. I tend to use reels with just a plain ol' brake dial lol I'm to lazy to be flipping open secret compartments and playing tetris with tiny little switches haha.

I think the possibilities of a baby baitbaster would be AWESOME for flipping and pitching for gills and sunnies in thick cover and under overhangs.

I honestly want to say I either have one in my fishing closet somewhere or its down at my parent's house haha but yes I remember them. No bearings, no nothing, simply made to flip lol

lol that thing held 35 yds of 25lb test lololol I can't believe I almost bought one for $100

lol yup, it was a shortrange brush gun no doubt.
I ended up w/ an 80's model Abu Garcia Ambassaduer II instead, still one of my favs to this day 25 years later and a LOT of big fish credited to it. They don't make 'em like they used to anymore. I think i'm about go hit Stoney creek in a bit, they stocked for a rodeo this past weekend - 1,500 from the state, 1,800 from the club lololol some 10 lb Browns out there waiting for me, I'm just waiting to see if the creeks are high and muddy

ya I'm an AG fan. I don't have any of the older reels but I have a smaller black maxx and a revo, both are amazingly reliable.

yea, the old ones are good, but they started getting cheap over the years, anything made in 2000's seems to be garbage.....the worm gears are *** in newer models

What did I come back to? :D This thread went right off the tracks!

You native keepers seem to have a mind of your own. I could never dedicate an aquarium solely to native fish. Freshwater at least. Saltwater... that's another story. Are there any native SW keepers?

That's what you get when you ask us tanks, the world is our tank lol.

native fish are amazing in my mind. Easy to care for, NO HEATERS!, lol and you can replace them virtually free.

There are some very cool natives out there, I wouldn't mind a tank of them someday if I have space.

As for me, right now I just have a 40 gal up. In the process of building a large plywood tank, also just bought six 75 gal tanks and a 125 from a store that is closing down. So I have some tanks to play with lol
