Yep. An arapaima maybe four feet long tried to launch itself through a net and launched into his chest instead. Evidently his heartbeat is still irregular. Arapaima are basically living battering rams, they're just a chunk of muscle -specifically built to launch at things- with a big hunk of solid bone on the front.
In lieu of arapaima, you could try just a long pond with snakes. Wouldn't even have to be venomous ones, just regular snakes would probably be enough. Less liability, too.
