Spinal fusion

Thx guys good food for thought. My career is pretty much over, at best hanging by a thread. Really just want to be more active with my kids they deserve better.

Man, that's a rough one bro. What did you do before and can you get retraining? I had a friend years back that was in construction and he messed up his back. He qualified for some program that paid for an IT degree of some kind

That's crazy. I can't even watch the medical channel. Makes me kinda sqeamish. Never had a operation in my life yet. Knock on wood.

My career ended in 2009...I just didn't know it until 2013. I did IT training inbetween that but people where only hiring with 5 years experience

Funny you said that i feel like mine ended in 2012 when i first hurt my back. Been hanging on by a thread ever since
 
I guess i was dillussional i actually thought the drs where wrong when they told me i wouldnt be able to do the job but felt like even after the surgery i was getting by ok but when i tore my hip up in '15 i knew is was screwed
 
Sounds like u need the surgery no matter what. Can't wait till u stop walking. Best of luck jaws!

Been tossing this around in my head for a while now.

I hope everything works out for you! Get a second opinion just incase to weigh out options for you. If it was me I would do it
