Its not a deformity its a gene carried on from midas. The hump is gene is natural occurring on the fish below and its these genes that make the flowerhorn what it is today.
But it isn't natural. Not every single midas will grow a large head. You do know fh have been selectively bred to have larger than natural size nuchal hump right? The "naturally occurring gene" has been promoted through selective breeding to occur more than what is natural.

LMAO to each their own. I still love flowerhorns but I'm going back to the Amph family and trying to get some rare amphs.
