That's actually a new idea I wouldn't have thought of. They are rare but do happen to appear on the stocklists, I believe one of the LFS around here has some for months because buyers are sparse. I could perhaps snag a few, I'll have to research those, I kinda like the "Can you guess where the fishes are?" game I could play with guests. The other thing I was thinking was a tank dedicated to a group of South American leaf fish. Tank with lots of heavily placed leaves and those fish suspended. Worse nightmare for a rosy red or any small fish. Can't see where it's end is coming from. I think predatorkeeper78 wanted to do something similar as well as myself.
The smaller tank will need barbs of some kid or larger Tetras (African) as middle fish for movement. Can get away with these as dithers.
Yay for Curu, will a Mala work as well? They are muuuuuch more readily available here.Just saw this thread.
A Curupira in a planted tank will work.
And they swim around more often plus come in the option of switching to 3 colours mode.
(Can switch to jet black mode too but that's too difficult to photograph for me).
Another option could be a single Manueli piranha depending on the availability at your country. 90 Gal might not fit for life but I heard they grow super slow.
Far from senpai, still learning so much from the established hobbyists here.
Took a few more recent pics to entice you.
I think they do well with planted tank but if you are concerned about uprooting, perhaps get those that you can tied around the driftwood or ornaments.
Go Hoplias!!!! LOL!
