Moving, need a pop for a 90g

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They can survive in a 90 gal with waterchanges and feeding every other day, ask @nfazi. They are bound to do better in a larger tank though.

This guy is so fun to watch with its buddy.

The other thing I was thinking was a tank dedicated to a group of South American leaf fish. Tank with lots of heavily placed leaves and those fish suspended. Worse nightmare for a rosy red or any small fish. Can't see where it's end is coming from. I think predatorkeeper78 wanted to do something similar as well as myself.

The smaller tank will need barbs of some kid or larger Tetras (African) as middle fish for movement. Can get away with these as dithers.

I want a bunch of african leaf fish for my tank, but availability is an issue and i need dithers for my tank (thinking guppies if i lose my pink tail or sell it)

Dont the south american leafs have a displeasure for dead food?

Just saw this thread. :D

A Curupira in a planted tank will work.

And they swim around more often plus come in the option of switching to 3 colours mode.

(Can switch to jet black mode too but that's too difficult to photograph for me). :D

Another option could be a single Manueli piranha depending on the availability at your country. 90 Gal might not fit for life but I heard they grow super slow.

That's actually a new idea I wouldn't have thought of. They are rare but do happen to appear on the stocklists, I believe one of the LFS around here has some for months because buyers are sparse. I could perhaps snag a few, I'll have to research those, I kinda like the "Can you guess where the fishes are?" game I could play with guests. ;)

Yay for Curu, will a Mala work as well? They are muuuuuch more readily available here. ;)

Manueli is actually more suitable than the Rhom, but I believe they shape like juvie Rhoms, all "cornery" instead of round and bulky, so I'll have to check that out, but might not be what I am after. ;)

Thanks Senpai :P

Far from senpai, still learning so much from the established hobbyists here.

Took a few more recent pics to entice you. :D

I think they do well with planted tank but if you are concerned about uprooting, perhaps get those that you can tied around the driftwood or ornaments.

Go Hoplias!!!! LOL!

I very well might go for wolves, but I'm afraid I'll have the itch again, which I can't as I doubt anything can cohabit with a big wolf in that small volume...

You love to tease, don't you? xD

I decided to go with an actual soil and gravel/gross sand bottom, that way if I keep the tank empty for long enough, roots will be deep enough that not much can uproot, and I most definitely want my tiger lotus back, the ones I have have been mistreated by the Aurantis, and yet, are still hanging in there xD

I put fluorite dark in plastic mesh baskets to put plants in then add gravel on top. best of both worlds. You guys make me want an ery ery for my 4 ft. Unfortunately they are blacklisted (will probably still be able to find one)

Just doing my small part to promote the hobby bro. :)

In this digital age,it's hard for traditional hobbies to flourish...I am getting my kids and wife to help out and enjoy fishkeeping whenever possible.

Will get a couple of recent Malabricus pics later for this thread as I am outside at the moment.:D

Fishkeeping was my aversion from herps. Fishkeeping is wonderful if you are well informed
